How To Create Business Instagram Account (2021)
I’m making this post on how to create business Instagram account 2021, how to streamline your Instagram work so we have three main concepts in mind.
- The first one is to help you grow faster on Instagram.
- The second one is to help you grow with less effort on Instagram.
- How you can actually convert more followers to dollars and make more money
So if you have more than one account this is definitely very important for you. And have a more profitable business model on Instagram so this article right here is the bare bones basic number one verse on Instagram, and that is setting up an Instagram business account so I’m going to show you step by step in this post.
Realize you lost a lot of conversions or that you lost a lot of followers, or that you could have been doing, you know these other extra steps so with that in mind, let’s get into this post. Okay so here we are just on an Instagram account kind of a random one. This is what I used in a previous example, in my video about how to set up a Facebook business profile. So, this is obviously not a real Instagram account that I use, but it’s one that I set up, let’s say hypothetically I own a lawn care company, and I want to get on the platform of Instagram. So you just set up an account it’s going to be your personal account first.

The reason you might want to go to an Instagram business profile so you can look a little bit more like, if we look at my brother right here so if we go to Jayxclusive, and we find Jayxclusive you’ll see on the bottom where you know it doesn’t just say fall in messages also email, or if you want a restaurant you can have booking,
you can have all these different buttons on the bottom, and you can have a lot more going on you can also get insights from business profiles, and overall.
There are so many more tools and I’ll show you that later in this articles.
So, in order to convert it the first thing you want to do is go to the three bars in the top right, then go down to settings on the bottom.
And within Settings you see a lot of different things I recommend you go through and adjust your notifications, adjust your privacy, make sure you have to factor also recommended in Business Instagram Account.
So nobody hacks your business account, just things like that to go through that on your own time. So for the purposes of this video we’re going to go down to account right there.
And at the bottom of account you’ll see switch to professional account. Now it’s something kind of recent with Instagram is that it’s not just business profile. Now, there’s also creator profile.
So if you are like a YouTuber, for example, or some kind of influencer, you might not need all the different buttons that are gonna have, you know, on the bottom where it’s gonna say like personal blog or something that’s really not a whole lot of added value, there’s some people don’t want to look like a business profile,
but they still want the insights and that’s kind of what creator is so if you are a business, just go down and say next on business if you’re setting up a creative profile, maybe I can make a video in the future about that but it’s, it’s generally the same as this.
So the next thing you want to do this is going to tell you a little bit more about it. And like I said before, as you go across, you do get insights so they’re gonna give you some really in depth, analytics and you can figure out what posts which posts people like which posts get the most engagement and spread the most quickly on Instagram. You can find out who your audiences when they’re awake when they’re using stuff, you know, following your content, and overall, you’re just gonna gain a lot of value from insights as we go over, you can also create promotions, which is a huge one for businesses.
Instagram is one of the largest platforms on social media, anywhere today, and for that reason and promoting on there can be, you know, of immense value, it can provide so much for your business.
No matter what kind of business you are, as you go over, you also have the business profile buttons, that’s what I showed you before, where you can have people call you or text you or email you.
And then lastly, okay that’s actually pretty much all they’re going to show you right there but next you want to connect your Facebook page right here I don’t have the one from my previous post.
Because I’m signed into a different Facebook profile on my phone now. I got a new phone. But regardless, you want to set up a Facebook page. Now, if you don’t have the Facebook Business Profile yet, you can set it up through the Instagram app. I don’t recommend that that is kind of a recipe for a couple headaches in the future.
So I recommend you go and check out that post that I made before and just set it up the right way and link to this but for the purposes of this post I’m just going to not connect to Facebook right now, and it’s going to take me to the next page here and ask what category is my business.
So, this is a landscaping company, I’m just going to say landscape. And sometimes you might not find exactly the business you’re looking for, but if you just type in a couple different synonyms for it, you’ll probably find a similar business name, and that’s going to be, or similar, similar business category, and you’ll just, you know, select that it doesn’t really matter that much which one you select.
So then it’s going to confirm your email and you’ll just say yes if that’s the right email, otherwise you can change it that is going to be how people contact you.
And then once you have all that done you just go to your profile and they’ll give you a quick little tour but essentially you’ll see they just added email.
Now, what if we want more than just email there. The next thing you want to do and I’ll show you insights in a second but the next thing you want to do is you want to customize your profile. So you go to Edit Profile and then within here, you really want to populate this as much as possible so you make sure you have a website right there,
because the website will show up as a link so that you know anyone who’s viewing your account can go and link over to your website so don’t forget the whole purpose of growing an Instagram account is not necessarily just to have larger numbers or have people know about you, even though it might be good for that. But ultimately if you have all this traffic on this page, but it’s totally disconnected from your actual Business Instagram Account,
it doesn’t really convert to dollars that well, it doesn’t really turn out to be a very good business model,
so make sure you want to have it as easy as possible for people to, you know, convert from Instagram over to whatever platform your websites on or your bookings on or your phone number,
whatever it might be, you want people to turn into customers. So, putting your website right there, make sure you have a good bio. And then down here of course link your Facebook page as I said, but also contact options. This is something else you want to populate.
If you want a phone number there I recommend putting in a phone number so there’s a call or text button. If it’s a brick and mortar type shop I would recommend putting your address if you’re an online business, it doesn’t matter unless you want people to send you mail or like maybe tech reviews if you want products sent to you. Maybe you can add that right there, and then an action button can be, you know, if you were like a restaurant or a hotel or anything like that and you want people to be booking through you.
There’s a lot of different sites that you can book through right here. And so if you’re just like, oh yeah on Yelp you want someone to reserve a table or something of that sort, very easy to link that up right there, guys.
That’s how you basically set up your Instagram business profile, when you go over to the top right you’ll see insights, and that is also very interesting because this is what I was saying about how to actually learn more about the people that are following you, the people that are engaging with your content, what kind of content is most liked.
And, you know, so many different things like that I recommend you dive through this and really pull out the data from there and figure out, you know you can make a lot of business decisions based on stuff like this.
Okay, so guys, that was a post in this quick mini series about how to streamline Instagram if you enjoyed it.
